CORD Efforts Secure 6119 Change in State Budget

CORD has achieved another legislative successs by securing an amendment in the State Budget Bill that will benefit districts.  The amendment to R.C. 6119.061 expands the contracting authority of regional water and sewer districts and declares that whenever any portion of a regional water and sewer district is incorporated as, or annexed to, a municipal corporation, the area incorporated or annexed remains under the jurisdiction of the district for purposes of the acquisition, construction, or operation of a project until the project's completion or abandonment.  This was a significant accomplishment for CORD.
